MMO Beach Water Testing - Effective August 12, 2010 the swim advisory for MaMeO Beach has been lifted.  The signs will be taken down.

Whitefish  - Alberta Environment - Fish and Wildlife - advises that the dead whitefish washing up on shore are the result of summer kill due to high lake temperatures.

Home Security and Safety Seminar - All residents of the 7 Summer Villages are invited to attend a Home Security, Safety and Crime Prevention Seminar. The session will be held at the Ma-Me-O Beach Community Hall on September 4th at 10:00 AM.

Family and Community Support Services (F.C.S.S.) - F.C.S.S. now offers homemaking to the senior citizens, handicapped individuals or those in need of the special services a homemaker can offer. The homemaking duties may include: general homemaking, laundry, cleaning bathrooms and floors, dusting and vacuuming, fall and spring cleaning. The program allows clients to remain in the comfort of their own home. The time period of help can vary according to each situation of need. Development Permits - The Summer Villages Office is receiving many applications for development permits. We ask you to please allow a reasonable time (2 or 3 weeks) for these applications to be processed.

Pump-Out Tank Installers List - A Development Permit from the Summer Village of Ma-Me-O is required before you may have a holding tank installed. Council has waived the normal $100 fee for the Permit. Applications for development permits along provincial guidelines for the placement of a holding tank can be picked up at the new administration office at 605 - 2nd Ave. We also can provide a list of certified installers to help you.
